APPENDICITIS: Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix which is a finger-shaped pouch that projects from your colon on the lower right side of your abdomen. The appendix serves no particular purpose as such.

Symptoms

Most common signs and symptoms of appendicitis include:
Sudden pain that begins on the right side of the lower abdomen and spreadsLoss of appetiteSudden pain that begins around your navel and often shifts to your lower right abdomenPain that worsens if you cough, walk or make other sudden
movements Constipation or diarrhoeaSudden pain that begins on the right side of the lower abdomenAbdominal bloatingNausea and vomitingFever that may worsen as the illness progresses

The area of your pain may vary depending on your age and the position of your appendix.
